  • Job Summary:

Architect IT Applications is a top level technical expert in one or more highly specialized phases of IT applications or systems, covering all aspects of a given technology. Responsible for analyzing and translating business information and technical requirements into IT solutions to achieve business objectives. Must be able to review and solve IT application issues through detailed analysis, trouble shooting, and collaboration covering all aspects of a given technology. Works with cross functional (business, enterprise architecture, application – solutioning and delivery) teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual and detailed design for the requirement. Provides technical leadership on complex projects resulting in appropriate implementation.

 

  • Key responsibilities:
  • collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Business teams to:
  • Understand and gather requirements.
  • Demonstrate standard SAP processes & Best Practices to improve productivity and quality of work.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to:
  • ○ Develop and document conceptual and detailed design to meet business requirement.
  • ○ Translate functional requirements to technical design.
  • ○ Support enhancements to existing SAP areas supporting Digital Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrate ability to evaluate technical approaches and discuss pros and cons of each to arrive at a design
  • Aware of standard change management and project management processes.
  • strong technical and functional knowledge in the areas of:
  • Engineering Control Center (ECTR)
  • Material Management and Material BOM
  • Document Management
  • Engineering Change Management
  • Classification ○ Variant Configuration
  • Work Centers and Routings ○ Production Resource Tools (PRT)
  • Asset Management (Functional Location, Equipment, Serial Number, BOM)

 

  • Years of Relevant Work Experience Required: 5-10 Years.
  • Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
  • SAP Certification in R&D Engineering.
  • SAP Certification in Production Planning and Manufacturing.
  • SAP Certification in Asset Management.
  • 5+ years of business functional experience (in the areas of Product Design, Production Planning). 5+ years as SAP PLM lead functional consultant.
  • Requirements gathering.
  • Design of solution.
