Job Title: Sr. Analyst Application Delivery

Job Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

• This role will work in the areas of CAD, CAM & SAP PLM. A fundamental understanding of CAD/CAM tools, manufacturing processes, self-learning ability and teamwork are crucial for this role.  This role will work with all the Engineering departments and Manufacturing teams globally. It will also be responsible for technical guidance, support, and maintenance.
• We are looking for engineers’ willingness to learn computer programming skills (native C++ and .NET, SQL and relational database design, Visual Studio)
• Individual will be trained and groomed to become a software developer which will be responsible for programming and customization around CAD/CAM.

Key Responsibilities Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in mechanical engineering with around 5 or 8 years of work experience respectively in CAD/CAM customization, support and training.
• Must have be interested in software development using native C++ and .NET, SQL and relational database design, Visual Studio, etc.
• Experience of working as part of a global team and handling global projects is a plus.
• The incumbent must possess very strong analytical and problem-solving skills and fundamental programming knowledge in CAD/CAM.
• Broad SIEMENS NX CAD/CAM Knowledge (>4-year experience) and working knowledge of SAP-PLM is desirable.
• Fundamental metal cutting product and manufacturing processes optimization knowledge, with prior exposure to tool design / application engineering / machining is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills in interfacing with internal and external customers and leadership abilities are essential to successfully lead large projects in a matrix organization structure.

Tasks:

• Create, maintain, customize Integration layer between CAD/CAM and different Kennametal website.
• Should be able to handle the projects individually.
• Development of new functionality around CAD System – SIEMENS NX with focus on automating product designs.
• Innovative ideas for new functionality, develop and maintain around CAD/CAM.
• Work with Internal/External customers, Information Technology, etc. on a global basis in maintaining and developing applications.
• Good design understanding of CAD Designs/Drawings for automation testing purpose.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with one or more MCAD tools (Preferably NX & AutoCAD)
• Good to have in programming knowledge on C++/C#/VB.Net using NX APIs
• Should have worked on BlockStyler/ WinForms UIs
• Good to have worked on multithreading in C++/C#
• Minimum working knowledge on PLM applications (preferably SAP ECTR)
• Good knowledge of Computer Sciences & fundamentals, Data structures, Algorithms, Design patterns, OOPS Concepts.
• Strong debugging skill.
