Job Summary

Executive Quality and Vendor -pu2-Bangalore

Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Quality control System and ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.  This role plays a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of the plant  within the manufacturing organization at KIL .The goal is to create a culture of quality throughout the organization, where every team member is aware of their role in delivering high-quality products to customers.

Key Job Responsibilities

•            Hands on experience in managing  quality control department of the plant and ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.

•            Conversant with lean concepts like PDCA, Six sigma, FMEA, RCA, 5S, Kaizen etc and basic QC tools and analysis of rework,scrap and customer complaints.,

•            Coordinate with vendors and develop vendors to meet requirements.and ensure shipment as per plan.and coordinate with other areas of the plant.

•            Leading the Quality team to meet the Quality Objectives like Achieve Zero Complaints, Reduce Internal Rejections, Achieving the I -PPM & E- PPM by enhancing the quality culture in the organization.

•            Understand Inspection Standard, Method Implementation In- house, Systems Development Implementation relating to ISO 9001 & lead as MR.

•            Ensuring process quality Audits in the shop floor to ensure process adherence.

•            Vendor process & quality audits.

•            Ability to understand and follow /implement all quality requirements in line with  ISO / Quality Systems / QA / QS, RCA, CAPA etc.

•            Reviewing the Plant Quality Performance and drawing up and implementing CAPA.

•            Interacting with cross functional teams to prepare 8D & CAPA and monitoring the same with gate charts.

•            Responsible for the total Quality of the products & services by being the single point for quality to stake holders within the plant.

•            Good knowledge of SAP working .

Education/Work Experience & Skills

•            Bachelor’s Degree of engineering or Diploma in mechanical  Engineering .

•            Should have 5 to 10  years of working experience in quality department  preferably from Automobile / process industry.

•            Should be a good knowledge of ISO systems.

•            Actively engaged in working with cross functional teams including internal and external vendors/customers.

•            Having good collaboration, communication skills by maintaining strong interpersonal relations with all stake holders.

•            Ability to deal with and establish rapport and trust at all levels.

•            Experience in working in fast moving, technical business environment .

•            Should have a strategic approach in dealing with problem solving.

•            Should have led a team who are directly reporting to him.

•            Should have experience in working in a unionized working environment.
