Job Summary   

This position works directly under the supervision of the District Business Manager, Thailand. We are looking to recruit a true hunter that can aggressively pursue and drive new customer accounts & relationships. Grow relationship with existing and new accounts; expanding share in small, to mid-size customers. Transition accounts to Key Account Specialist (Farmer) at established threshold to maintain capacity for identifying and growing new accounts within a specific geographic region. Demonstrates the ability to run a territory like a business as an “owner” and closes deals and solidifies loyal repeat buyers.

Join our growing team in Kennametal as an Account Development Specialist to be based in Thailand 


Knowledge And Experience:

  • Actively pursue new customers/relationships (face to face) in a defined geographic territory and with main goal to increase sales opportunities through strategic planning & cold calling.
  • Manage and grow existing relationships with customers with relatively low share and high account potential. Transition account to Key Account Specialist after an identified threshold level of time/sales.
  • Determine key objectives required to win and resource requirements/risks.
  • Leverage CRM to track activities.
  • Identify potential untapped markets.
  • Equal laser focus on customer and competition.
  • Drive E-Commerce applications
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, programs.
  • Manage local market engagement by attending trade shows and customer events.
  • Coordinate internally with technical experts and other Outside Sales reps to close new customer accounts.
  • Coordinate with Sales Support to win new business.



  • Degree in Business and or Manufacturing and or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years experience in sales/marketing/industrial sales preferred.
  • Able to communicate well in English and Thai
  • Entrepreneurial, Creative, Analytic, Assertive, Articulate, Competitive.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
