Channel Sales Account



An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as a Channel Sales Account. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating business for Kennametal’s portfolio of cutting-edge products that are highly regarded as the industry’s most complete product line.


This position supports the local distributor sales force with technical tooling and all product application solutions. A Channel Sales Account serves as a valuable resource and a leader within the sales territory. This position is thoroughly knowledgeable in the metal cutting industry; as such, the incumbent is expected to carry customer accounts, take on strategic projects.




  • Roll-out Kennametal strategy thru channel partners in the Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, Marche and Umbria regions.
  • Report market information and needs to supervisor, marketing and the different supporting functions of the company.
  • Work closely with the local distribution sales force to identify new sales opportunities and promote Kennametal products in the area.
  • Support and participate in team sales initiatives by gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and grow partnerships with end users together with the distributor. Negotiate contracts, programs and other agreements.
  • Suggest and participate in local marketing actions and initiatives to promote the Kennametal brand, in respect of the allocated costs.



Job Requirements:

  • Sales experience in B-to-B, ideally with distributors. Experience in leading commercial negotiations.
  • Experience/knowledge on metal cutting tools is crucial.
  • An innovative and self-motivated individual whom is able to work independently.
  • Energized and positive with an open minded entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work with MS Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.



Base Location:

Home based ideal base location Bologna & Modena with 75% travel to Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, Marche and Umbria provinces.
