Customer Service (Industrial/Vendor Relations)

Fort Mill, SC

 

 

Job Summary

 

This Customer Service role focuses on vendor relations, providing front-line support for Kennametal reconditioning operations. The Customer Service representative will manage vendors, order entry, order expedites, quoting, returns, and price/availability. This position will be based in Fort Mill, SC.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform basic tasks usually under direct supervisor, or within well-defined procedures related to Purchase Order (PO) follow-up
  • Provide order status, quotes and pricing to customers and vendors
  • Maintain organized information regarding quotes and orders and generate necessary reports to supervisors and managers


Experience and Education

 

  • 1 - 5 years in customer service, industrial customer service and vendor management preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • SAP quote and order experience is a plus but not required
  • Bilingual communication skills a plus, but not required
