An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as a Manager HR Talent Development (m/w/d) based in Fuerth (Germany).





  • Works across assigned global areas of responsibility to establish and execute the Talent Development strategy consistently and holistically aligned with the Global and Regional requirements
  • Works with global talent management team and other business units in the region to deploy talent strategies and programs
  • Leads program management of core talent processes; including performance management, talent reviews/succession planning, and engagement survey actions to ensure consistency, integration and continuous improvement of these programs across the Region, coordinating all activities with HR Business Partners and Country HR Managers
  • Creates a Talent Acquisition Roadmap for the region and develop a sustainable and measurable strategy
  • Builds talent pools that support and strengthen the region and create a framework that provides a clear view of talent supply and demand. Develop a clear recruitment presence that distinguishes Kennametal in the employment market
  • Executes Talent Development processes, programs, practices and tools for assigned global areas of responsibility
  • Develops a strategic development plan driving diverse talent development and supports business objectives
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Director, Talent to develop programs and initiatives to improve recruitment, development and retention of a high-performing diverse and inclusive workforce
  • Identifies and utilizes resources to assess current and prospective talent to meet the needs of the business
  • Identifies key roles with bench strength targets, supported by actionable development plans to ensure pipeline readiness
  • Partners with field leadership to identify, recommend and track the completion of appropriate development activities for talent in the early in career, leadership pipeline and invest and grow talent categories
  • Acts as talent broker and liaison between Regional and Global organizations, including the ongoing management of talent eligibility for development programs
  • Provides development support to the Regional Leaders
  • Partners Human Resources Partners to provide aligned delivery, seamless communication and excellent customer service
  • Manages and participates in the development of program materials, communication vehicles, presentation and implementation of programs
  • Implements new programs to support the needs of the company utilizing innovative strategies and principles of organizational development




  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field required
  • A minimum of 10 years of broad HR experience, to include Talent Development and/or Management, Leadership Development & Management Training, Performance Management, and designing/implementing/managing multiple complex projects globally
  • Comfortable with a fast pace of change, while ensuring continuity of current activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability and willingness to influence and drive change globally
  • Proven ability to establish strategy and to translate it into an effective, long-term action plan
  • Proficiency in all MS Office tools is required
  • Very good language skills in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Willing and able to travel as required
