Program Overview

 

The Commercial Rotational Development Program is a 15 to 24-month rotational developmental program designed to provide you with the knowledge and experiences needed for rapid professional progression and future leadership roles. Through the rotation you will learn about our customers, products and industry, while simultaneously making valuable contributions to the organization.

 

  • Actively participate in rotational assignments in Sales, Product Management, Marketing, technology and Manufacturing;
  • Learn the basics of metal cutting & Kennametal products to provide technical solutions to customers;
  • Partner with sales teams to learn the various functions of the team, their roles and responsibilities and how they drive revenue;
  • Learn to use and apply solution selling and value selling techniques through shadowing sales professionals and formal training;
  • Post completion of program, the successful incumbents will be placed in a full-time role within the United States.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Technology or relevant field or applicable years of experience
  • Relevant internship or prior work experience preferred
  • Comfort with a highly visible, fast-paced, and demanding program
  • Initiative and strong desire to learn
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Effective analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to travel 50%+ domestically for project assignments & relocate for rotation opportunities
  • Must be a US citizen, or hold a Green Card
