 An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as a Logistics Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of import and export activities at our manufacturing plant in Shlomi, Israel.

The successful candidate will manage route activity including invoicing, electronic bills, and shipment tracing.

 

This is an entry level position that would suit someone with an interest in Logistics and a strong desire to learn. Previous experience is not essential, but applicants must be able to communicate in English and have an excellent attention to detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Overall responsibility for the plant imports & export activities.
  • Weekly planning for deliveries to include flight reservations, packaging requirements, and route planning.
  • Monitor inventory at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity.
  • Enter logistics-related data into databases and maintain records in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Creation of invoices and airway bills (AWB) that accompany goods shipped.
  • Check invoices to ensure accuracy of vendor payments.
  • Contact potential vendors to determine raw material availability.
  • Contact carriers for rates or schedules.
  • Track delivery flow from origin to final delivery.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must have a higher education and be able to demonstrate an ability to develop and learn new skills.
  • Knowledge of transport methods and warehouse administration experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with an ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, solve customer problems and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with MS Office and maintaining databases will be advantageous.
  • Above average ability to communicate in English verbal and written.
