This position is responsible for leading EHS compliance and strategy for a manufacturing location in Bangalore and Global Engineering and IT.

The Site EHS Leader will develop EHS site goals, in conjunction with Corporate EHS and the site manager, and lead the site EHS strategy.

This person will enable EHS compliance, develop and implement systematic processes, and direct continuous improvement projects that will steadily improve EHS performance at the site.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate corporate Environmental Health and Safety strategy and interpret strategy to develop annual site plan and objectives
  • Implement and drive sustainability of systems, programs, and processes to support compliance and management systems
  • Drive improvement of management based safety system culture
  • Monitor progress against EHS objectives and communications to site manager and employee population and develops and leads plan for continual improvement
  • Resolve EHS challenges and create foundations for sustainable systems
  • Apply a combination of logic, analysis, and experience to make sound, timely decisions and to solve problems

Key Position Accountabilities

  • Maintain expert knowledge of all regulatory compliance obligations and corporate requirements and ensures they are adequately addressed in site plan and therefore satisfactorily met and managed
  • Accountable for year over year continuous improvement of EHS performance
  • Accountable for high level of EHS knowledge and competency among all levels of employees
  • Accountable for integration of EHS function with quality and lean manufacturing business partners
  • Accountable to reduce overall EHS risk for the site


Key Position Requirements

  • 15 - 22 Years of experience PLUS in functional area, preferably in Multi-National Companies.
  • Should hold a Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  • Knowledge of Kannada Language will be an added advantage.
