Job Title: Architect/Tech Lead IT Applications (SAP LES)

Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as an IT Business Solutions Architect Applications. The Business Solutions Architect will act as a subject matter expert primarily to our SAP LES with experience/exposure to SAP EWM and secondarily to our SAP MM Sourcing teams providing project and operational support across the SAP LES/Shipping modules, and their associated applications. This is a critical role within our business that forms part of the Global IT

The successful candidate will identify and deliver upon agreed business solutions that focus on the areas of Logistic, Inventories and shipping processes at Kennametal. The Business Solutions Architect will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design and deliver optimal solutions for the global Logistic team and experienced in all aspects of the Logistic, Inventories and shipping cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop solutions that support the business within Kennametal's technology framework.

• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions.

• Research and evaluate alternative technology solutions.

• Using a matrixed team, plan, schedule, and deliver business solutions.

• Help to drive the best out of the Warehousing and shipping and financial management systems

• Liaison with other internal IT and business functions to comprehensively resolve issues.

• Identify technology development improvement opportunities and prepare action plans.

• Identify and implement new uses of information technologies to assist Kennametal in meeting its strategic objectives.

• Manage projects as needed, typically less than a year in duration.

• Plan and manage own work and others as required.

• Ensure quality, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness of deliverables while providing regular and accurate status to the business areas and line manager.

• Provide expertise on strategic issues and projects

• Manage and participate in cross-functional teams and SAP projects

• Represent and promote Kennametal through participation in technology community activities, industry groups, and associations.

Typical Education and work experience:

• BS/BA Degree (preferably degree in Computer Science, Information Systems).

• 6-8 years of experience configuring and supporting SAP LES and MM modules (ECC6 or S4) and/or with experience in the manufacturing/warehouse area

• Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.

• Ability to manage a team, and work in a team environment, as well as independently.

• Ability to work with internal business partners to understand & define business requirements, manage expectations & implement solutions that meet business objectives.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

• Commitment to detail, quality, and continuous improvement under tight deadlines
