Job Summary:

  • Operate and execute tasks on green machining of Carbide on Kern 5 axis machining center machine, including programming, operations and ensure timely delivery to the requestor for the finished Insert as per engineering requirement.
  • Cross functional interaction with Engineering, Manufacturing at various levels and across regions.
  • Work in close collaboration with Department manager to ensure that availability of resources for smooth working of lab.
  • Manage, execute, and influence the working of the Lab functions to ensure that lab deliverables are met for all the product functions. Work in collaboration with product engineering and design teams to ensure new product development initiatives are supported and through various stages of product development.
  • Support planning for revenue and capital requirement of lab and work in co-ordination with various functions of technology, finance, and purchase department teams.
  • Lead product portfolio for product testing, analysis and reporting for the region and work in close co-ordination with global team members for product update though various stages of the project. Prepare presentation and reports of the tests done as per standard procedure and analysis of the finding shared with the respective project team.
  • Participate or lead product meetings and contribute towards innovation and technology. Key contributor to the technology forums for new product ideas and development work.
  • Manage team of product engineers and technicians and ensure deployment of right skill sets for each of product function. To conduct product testing, measurement in Lab and customer places as per the project requirement. To prepare test reports and summery of analysis for interpretation of results and reports using analytical tools.
  • Support manufacturing and quality function departments for product analysis and complaint handling and give feedback for product improvement and cost saving.
  • Participate in Value engineering, Kaizen, EHS, ISO activity with Inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Operating procedure and Maintenance schedules for various machines and equipment.


Job Requirement:

  • Master/ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from recognized university.
  • Working software knowledge of MS office, NX, Vericut, AutoCAD, SAP, Data Analysis Tools
  • Experience: 8 to 12 years of working experience in similar industry with knowledge of machining, application, product functions.
  • Good knowledge of metal working tools, application, and material science.
  • Willing to travel to customer places for field testing of product and to support application and sales team
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
