Key Job Accountabilities

• Project owner - Independently working on a project. Handling repeat / similar & new machines.
• Have complete knowledge about project deliverables.
• Prepare project design schedule and ensure the drawing release as per that.
• Assisting other team members in all design activities.
• Assist the team members for all types of documentation & data generation in PDM.
• Follow ISO processes for the project.
• Project calculations.
• Selection of standard assemblies & bought out parts.
• Preparation of DAP drawings and customer approval.
• Selection & release of imported items.
• Design different machine elements & small assemblies.
• Design of Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Coolant circuits.
• Cost estimation of A & B class components and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Making part drawings for A, B, C & D class items.
• All project related engineering calculations.
• Making new machine layout.
• Design & drafting of complex assemblies like fixtures, spindles, work handling, slides etc.
• Follow design checklists
• Drawing revisions.
• ISO document preparation.
• Part list preparation.
• PDM activities.
• Integration with suppliers / vendors.
• Integration another department.
• Interaction with customer.
• Preparation & adherence of project schedule
• Budget adherence."

Skills & certificates

• Knows about different calculations for machine elements like - slides, spindles, columns, ball screws, bearings etc.
• Basic engineering calculations for machine design.  
• Knowledge of different metal cutting process. 
• Geometrical dimensioning and tolerances and preparation of manufacturing drawings of components. 
• Knowledge of different materials. 
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, coolant & pneumatic circuits of machine & able to design them.
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes. 
• Proficient in AutoCAD & Solid works software’s
• Have Good communication skills & should be able to interact with suppliers & other departments.
• Interact with customers.
