Job Summary

Result oriented experienced accomplished professional with 10 Years overall experience and minimum 5 Years of Finance Shared Services industry experience in overall monitoring and supervising of the Finance shared services operations covering Procure to Pay, Customer to Cash and Record to Reporting as per the agreed Service Level Agreements with skills in Overseeing the shared services team  thereby ensuring highest efficiency in finance operations and steer the set up capabilities to handle Global Operations. The person will also be responsible for Controllership of the shared services legal entity.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Finance Shared Services activities:

1. Responsible for book closing and transactional service support to India and APAC Countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand) covering Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Reporting.
2. Manage the monthly/quarterly and annual book closing for all the APAC Countries.
3. Ensure all the book closing activities – journals and workings are completed by two working days – Monthly/Quarterly for all the entities in APAC.
4. Ensure all the escalations relating to month closings raised from entity controllers are attended to without any delays.
5. Coordinate for the statutory audit, internal audit – ensuring that the teams provide the necessary audit schedules on time without delays.
6. Responsible for ensuring support is provided to Manufacturing controller on the monthly closing activities and daily/monthly reports for India entity.
7. Responsible for SOX/ICFR documentations as per Kennametal Global and Kennametal India requirements.
8. Coordinate for Internal Audit completion and ensure implementation of the Internal audit recommendations on time.

• Controllership of Kennametal Shared Services entity:

1. Responsible for Kennametal Shared Services Private Limited Covering Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting and Board Meetings, Accounts finalization and audit of accounts with Statutory auditors and Tax audits/Global Internal audits.
2. Ensuring Internal Controls and adherence to SOX/ICFR framework developed by Kennametal.
3. Review monthly the billing workings and ensure correctness in line with the agreements.
4. Support the taxation team for all the statutory compliances including Transfer Pricing.
5. Provide cross functional support to all the entity functions including supply, Information Technology, Engineering and Human Resources.

• Manage the team of about 20 persons to ensure all the monthly/KPI are delivered on time  to all countries.

1. Coaching and mentoring of the team members.
2. Identify the strengths and weakness of the team members and continuously work towards overall skill set

improvements.

3. Training of the resources in identified areas and upskilling for handling more critical activities.
4. Weekly meetings with entity Controllers/staff of other countries to resolve issues/escalations.

Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates

• Atleast, 10 years of work experience in Finance and Accounts preferably in SAP environment.
• Minimum of 5 Years hands on experience at a Team Leader level role in a shared service center and handling a team of 25 persons and above.
• Minimum of 3-4 Years of experience in Working in SAP – FI/CO Module.
• Advanced User of Excel and should be able to provide trainings to new entrants.
• Chartered Accountant – ICAI/Master of Business Administration – Finance/Cost Accountant – ICMA
