Job Summary


The Lead Analyst – IT Business solutions works with key IT and business stakeholders to identify strategically aligned business requirements and enhancement opportunities and to design optimal functional and technical solutions in the Microsoft Dynamics system landscape.


The lead analyst must be able to work with the business teams in understanding needs, working to elicit business and functional requirements from those needs, as well as understanding existing and available architecture in order to provide written functional designs, which adhere to standard practice and security policies. The appropriate considerations for other business units and regions must be considered, so a broad knowledge of system configuration and rules is vital.


The lead analyst will collaborate with other solution analysts, IT business partners, and delivery teams as required to provide guidance, solicit feedback and understand needs, to ensure alignment across the enterprise. They will be prepared to present architectural decisions, designs and proposals to the appropriate stakeholders, as well as be able to explain how business strategy alignment is satisfied.


The role is hands-on through the reviewing and testing of completed developments and working to support the development team in the understanding and development of completed designs.


There will be an expectation to manage a personal program of self-development, to continuously learn and gain greater understanding of new and existing tools and capabilities, as well as industry trends, through effective research, vendor engagement, networking with peers, user groups, conferences and formal training. This in turn will allow continuous improvement of sustainable solutions that improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, leverage emerging technologies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize our overall value proposition, and to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.


Key Job Responsibilities



  • Develop and capture working technology/architecture solutions on the Microsoft system landscape for reference and starting points for development teams.
  • Review development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation support.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and assessments to IT Business partners and to business stakeholders and work with business units across the organization to understand business strategies and to identify current prioritized initiatives or problems.
  • Present architectural decisions and proposals to stakeholders to explain the needs, solution, and how business strategy alignment is satisfied.
  • Collaborate with other solution analysts, IT leadership and delivery teams ensure alignment and to provide and receive feedback.
  • Administration of the Dynamics/Power Platform, Monitoring and Automation as needed.
  • Provide estimated effort based upon high-level business requirements.
  • Manage self-development program - to continuously learn and gain greater understanding of new and existing tools and capabilities, as well as industry and IT trends, through effective research, third parties, networking with peers, user groups, conferences and formal training.
  • Participate in enterprise vendor, technology and tools selection.
  • Track issues and interact with internal and external consumers to resolve them. 




  • 8+ years of broad IT experience with Microsoft CRM Technologies (preferably Dynamics 365 or v9.0 and above)
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting & designing applications in Microsoft Dynamics/CRM with end-end implementation
  • Proficiency in configuring and extending MS Dynamics 365 CRM using tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM application, Microsoft xRM platform, Microsoft .NET Framework, Plugins and JavaScript technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM application functional areas (preferably Sales, Customer Service & Marketing)
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft xRM platform (CRM SDK), Microsoft .NET Framework (C#, ASP.Net), Plugins and JavaScript technologies (JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, XML)
  • Experience with advanced web development technologies used with the XRM platform would be preferred (Postman, API Portals), including REST, JSON, WCF, oData, jQuery etc.
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems, reports, capabilities and evolving best practices – experience with FetchXML, SAP, Microsoft SQL Server, GitHub would be preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps with CI/CD Pipelines would be preferred.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, communication skills; able to present a solid business case, form business partnerships and frame issues for a variety of stakeholders.
