Position Background:

Title: Lead Analyst – Active Directory

Location: KSSPL - Bangalore

The position requires the incumbent to provide support to various Kennametal Systems and internal customer requests within the set established procedures and guidelines thereby supporting both Kennametal global and local locations.

 

 

Job Description - Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Active Directory (AD) Administrator with some background in team leadership to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Active Directory environment. Proficiency in Windows administration and automation/scripting is a plus.

 

 

Education & Relevant Experience (in brief):

•            Bachelor’s degree in computer or information Sciences.

•            Overall IT experience of 10+ yrs. with a minimum experience of 8 years in Active Directory

•            In-dept experience in  Azure AD

 

 

Required Certifications:

•            Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

•            Intune Certification

 

 

Required Experience / Skill Sets:

  • 10+ years of experience in Active Directory administration.
  • In-depth and extensive experience in the implementation, administration, and configuration of AD.
  • Experience in Cloud Administration (Azure) and specifically Azure Active Directory.

  • Experience and strong understanding of security protocols and best practices for AD.

  • Intermediate scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Batch, Bash, Python)

  • Experience in Windows OS administration.

  •  Experience in creating documentation. Audiences can vary between technical and non-technical users and management.

  •  Excellent Oral and Communication skills to interact and work with global IT teams & end customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as a member of the Windows Active Directory Domain Administrator Support team in providing timely and efficient support to the day-to-day operations.
  •  Maintenance and support of Active Directory Federated Services, related hardware, and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex Active Directory authentication and LDAP configuration issues.
  • Work with other senior staff members to resolve escalated, complex incidents.

  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our existing AD architecture.

  • Work cross functional with other teams to drive initiatives.

  •  Developing comprehensive test cases to include testing scenarios for both normal and degraded (DR, test systems and data recovery) operations.

  • Performance and capacity planning.

  • Independently process client requests for Active Directory based application access.

  •  Creating and maintaining documentation of all systems and application configurations and modifications

  •  Produce the SOPs which will be used for the production deployment.

  •  Authentication Topology planning.

  • Good knowledge in AD topology, sites and services.

  • Experience in Security scans and System Performance Monitoring

  • Deep knowledge in trust and related configurations

  • Troubleshoot AD Forest & domain trust issues.

  • AD replication and maintenance.

  • Create/modify/Delete, analyze/test, manage and troubleshoot Group Policies.

  • Experience building, migrating, securing, and upgrading Domain Controllers.

  • Assist in Configuration, management and support of internal and external DNS systems

  • Identify and troubleshoot DNS Service and DNS resolution issues.

  • Identify and troubleshoot DHCP and WINS issues.

  • Top Level OU management

  • Analyze and implement Security Patches and Vendor Hot Fixes

  • Scheduled Initialization

  • Systems Auditing and Event Log Management

  • Must be familiar with PowerShell scripting

  •  Engineering or any bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with IT systems administration and engineering, including maintaining responsibility for high systems availability and secure systems posture, such as patching and maintenance and 8+ years of experience with IT systems administration and engineering

  • Deep knowledge in AD Connect configuration, management and AAD Connect sync issue troubleshooting.

  •  Experience in Azure AD and services.

  •  SAML, Single Sign-on (SSO) gallery and non-gallery applications, OAuth and related authentication technologies.

  •  Knowledge in analyze, testing, implementation, manage and troubleshooting in Azure MFA and CA policies.

  •  Ensuring adherence to cyber security policies, security standards/procedures/guidelines in all daily activities.

  • Configuration and management of MS PKI infra.

  •  Internal and External certificate planning and administration.

  • Deep knowledge in sFTP server configuration, management.

  • Knowledge in NDES and NTP server configuration and management.
