Job Title: Lead Associate Material Science-India



Job Location: Bangalore



Job summary:


A Lead Associate Engineer in RDE, Kennametal India Limited is an Individual Contributor and responsible for executing Metallurgical/Mechanical Process Development/Improvement, Material Characterization, New Product Development and Pilot plant/Metal Cutting Lab/EHS activities.  He / She is expected to execute projects with other departments like Marketing and Manufacturing either by being a part of or by leading those projects along with global competency teams related to his/her area of work. He/She is expected to work also on fundamental research on new materials and carbide processing


Key Job Responsibilities



  • Carbide Process Development and Standardization 
  • R&D Analytical and Metallography Lab Material analysis
  • Manufacturing support to improve process quality 
  • Basic Research on new Materials and Process 
  • Pilot plant/EHS activities 
  • Benchmarking & Product testing in Metal Cutting Lab
