Manufacturing Controlling

The Plant Controller  is a key leadership position providing expertise and business support across all the production units for Kennametal India limited. This position is expected to guide and support the plant managers in taking appropriate decisions related to manufacturing finance. The position would be reporting into the India CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Provide value added analysis and business support for Kennametal India’s manufacturing operations.
  • Key business partner for manufacturing team .
  • Key interface for India manufacturing head , India CFO and global manufacturing finance lead.
  • Effectively analyze, communicate and drive initiatives.
  • Conduct planning, forecasting and analysis for manufacturing operations in India
  • Drive efficient processes to reduce variances and risk management.
  • Lead/support special projects as necessary.

Treasurer

              

  • To assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company
  • Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions. Manages day-to-day activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization.
  • Performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings and debt management.
  • Managing the Forex inflows and payments and ensuring the best rates are booked inline with the market.
  • Allocation of cash balances and managing investments.
  • Ensures Compliance to Corporate policies and procedures
  • Determines procurement of funds and monitors investments and collections.
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Manage relationships with Banks & financial Investment advisors.
  • Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements. Ensure improvement of banking processes and automation of manual processes with internal IT team.
  • Additional duties as directed by supervisor

 

Accounts Payable

 

  • Overseeing routine activities such as vendor payments, Intercompany Settlements, GRIR balances, employee travel claims processing to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete vendor records and employee records
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management
  • Ensuring effective book closing for each month end – review of provisions being made for completeness and correctness
  • Well versed with requirements of US GAAP and IGAAP to ensure proper accounting processes are followed
  • Coordinate with Genpact team supporting the AP activity and related MIS.
  • Liasoning with third party external service providers for invoice accounting, reporting and other issues
  • Duty drawback and claim submission and monitoring
  • Training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members.

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  1. Chartered Accountant/ICWA
  2.  8 – 10 years of Post qualification experience in Finance, costing and  audit 
  3. Technical accounting expertise; US GAAP experience 
  4. Good Presentation skills
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Excellent Analytical & Communication skills
  7. Team player with the ability to influence colleagues and customers at all levels
  8. SAP AP & FI CO skills essential
  9. Expert knowledge on MS office applications ( Excel, PP,Word)
  10. Should have managed a team in the past.
  11. Candidate should be capable to taking on higher responsibilities for career growth.
  12. Experience in Manufacturing industry preferred.
