Position:  Manager – Quality


Location          :  Bangalore

Reporting to     :  Head Quality



Qualifications & Relevant Experience:


  • Engineering graduate in Mechanical / Metallurgy from a reputed University preferable.
  • 15 years of working experience in Manufacturing Industry and at least last 10 years in Quality function preferably from Automobile / Tooling / Industrial / Infrastructure / Energy /Aerospace Industry.
  • Certified Lead / Internal Quality Auditor in ISO9001:2015
  • Good working experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, MSA, SPC & Lean Six Sigma
  • Expertise in Customer complaint analysis, 8D methodology, Mistake proofing solutions & RCA.
  • Good knowledge on powder metallurgy, sintering process, heat treatment, special processes, coating technologies, Dies & Tool making, GD&T
  • Knowledge in SAP QM
  • Expertise in Change management, Facilitate and Lead Change as change agent driving common goals across cross functional team, internal and external customers
  • Working experience in customer centric process improvement projects  
  • Should have working experience in global quality metrics reporting and supplier quality drives
  • Should have multi plant quality handling Experience with different products



Key Responsibilities:


  • This position is responsible for Quality Assurance activities of Production Unit.
  • To conduct Process, System, Supplier and Plant audit and suggest improvements, as needed
  • Quality data analysis and drive improvement projects in shop floor on product / process CTQs
  • Understand internal and external customer needs & expectation, with QFD drive projects
  • Drive PFD, FMEA & Control Plan / Quality plan preparation, getting customer consent, implementation and ensure adherence with audits in Shop floor.
  • Responsible to drive Plant IQC, Calibration & MSA
  • Daily customer complaint, internal rejection monitoring & initiate on time corrective measures
  • MIS reporting on Quality metrics
  • Weekly CFT drive, liaison with Field / application team in addressing customer concerns
  • Coordination with Cross functional team in shop floor quality improvements / issues / product or process deviation, Product validation
  • Knowledge on computer skills - MS word, Excel, PPT, Statistical Analysis Tool like MINITAB.
  • Persons have hands on experience in shop floor manufacturing concepts and implementation of projects in the shop floor, 
  • Coordinate with global teams to implement the process changes, localization of products with PPAP
  • Initiate projects and Lead the team to achieve Zero defects to customer, Reduce Internal Rejections and enhance the quality culture in the organization.
