Profile:  Sr. Manager - Business Development

 

 

Job Summary:

 

To find new arenas for growth of the Metal Cutting Business in India. The plan is to ensure that we develop business at these new accounts to a reasonable level (measured by Share of Wallet) and then hand over the same to the Territory teams at the end of the Financial year. The Account Development Team would be led by the Head – Account Development from the HO.   

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Business Development team with the aim of developing new business at select customers defined at the beginning of the year.
  • Strategise for acquisition of new business including but not limited to deployment of people in the right locations, Decide upon customers, Management of Sales process, rigorous review of numbers / activities, plan for the next year, etc.
  • Selection and Training of the right people for this activity
  • Development of Key Account Templates to capture the right information and leverage the same for the plan
  • Work with the territory teams to ensure smooth transitioning of accounts and manpower
  • Develop and execute plans for relationship building at all levels of the customer accounts
  • Targets to be met

  • New Products (Advances) and AllStar to form a substantial portion of the plan
  • Hand-over customers at the end of the Financial Year to the Sales Team and start the process of selection of new customers (we need to achieve a minimum of 5-7% SoW)
  • Actively pursue new customers/relationships (face to face) in a defined geographic territory and with main goal to increase sales opportunities through strategic planning & cold calling.  
  • Leverage CRM to track activities and NOVO
  • Identify potential untapped markets.
  • Equal laser focus on customer and competition.
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, programs.
  • Manage local market engagement by attending trade shows and customer events

 

 


Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates

 

  • Engineers (Mechanical preferably)
  • Postgraduate degree in Business Preferred
  • 15+ years
