Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Belleville, Ontario

Responsibility

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the following

• coordinating capital projects, this includes justification, purchasing, layout and installation 
• lean and value stream mapping efforts throughout the entire plant
• leading continuous improvement projects throughout the plant
• process and product optimization and development
• Identification and implementation of facility and safety improvement,
• Collaborate and interface with engineering, manufacturing, and sales internal and external
• Occasional travel is required

Qualification and skills

• Engineering degree required preferably in Materials/Metallurgy/Mechanical
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement
• Casting and powder metallurgy experience is a plus
• Business acumen including basic accounting
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Understanding of Pre-Start health and safety reviews and CSA requirements
