Sales Engineer Wear Parts – Slovakia / Eastern Europe


As a Sales Engineer you will be part of the Infrastructure Engineered Wear Component business at Kennametal. You will be responsible for wear parts sales opportunities at our Mistelgau facility, focusing on the EMEA region (Eastern Europe in particular). You will work to maintain relationships with existing customers as well as establish new ones. The position supports global management in identifying growth opportunities, required investments and long-term planning to achieve growth, and works with Design, Production, Engineering and R&D departments to identify how products and services can be manufactured or modified to meet customer needs.



  • Support strategy development, sales forecasting, plan preparation, and sales inventory planning.
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Prepare sales engineering reports.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Coordination of Marketing efforts with the US.



  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Business Administration, or related discipline).
  • 5+ years of sales and sales leadership experience.
  • Fluent English and German in speaking and writing.
  • Knowledge of precision Wear parts and machining services.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, CRM, and SAP.
  • Team-player but also with the ability to be a self-starter.
  • Willingness to travel frequently including overnight stays.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
