Manager Distribution EMEA (m/w/d)


In your new role as our Manager Distribution EMEA in Butzbach you  are responsible for executing the tactical goals set in collaboration with each business segment, to achieve maximum service and cost optimization for logistics functions supporting the EMEA region. Your are directly responsible for managing all logistics operations in the region to achieve predetermined operational and financial objectives through both directly operated facilities and those managed through third parties.

Your Task :

  • Meet or exceed safety, productivity, financials, inventory, quality, and Lean Enterprise Metrics.
  • Execute EMEA logistics strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial team strategy.
  • Focus on German 3 PL facility, working with 3 PL partner to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with  3 PL partners to identify continuous improvement projects to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery
  • Manage direct reports, (other EMEA local DC’s) Train and develop highly skilled team members for future deployment through PPM process.
  • Hold performance reviews with freight partners, collaborating with global sourcing on spend reduction opportunities.


Our requirements:

  • At least 10-15 years of professional experience in the field of logistics, preferably in high volume distribution center environment, with sound understanding of latest technologies and processes.
  • P&L management experience (> 30 million USD)
  • Project management skills
  • Able to demonstrate change management
  • Experience of managing 3PL warehouse(s).
  • Demonstrated success of process improvement using Lean toolset/ Six sigma methodologies
  • Able to act as a voice of the customer.
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to achieve results by effectively managing others.
  • Strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English and German skills.
  • Very good knowledge of MS office and SAP
