Bob Title : Account Devlopment Specialist


Job Location: Chennai
Job Summary:
A true hunter in aggressively pursuing and driving new customer accounts & relationships.  Grow relationship with existing and new accounts; expanding share in small, to mid-size customers.  Transition accounts to Productivity Engineer (Farmer) at established threshold to maintain capacity for identifying and growing new accounts within a specific geographic region.  Demonstrates the ability to run a territory like a business as an “owner” and closes deals and solidifies loyal repeat buyers.
Key Job Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue new customers/relationships (face to face) in a defined geographic territory and with main goal to increase sales opportunities through strategic planning & cold calling.  
  • Manage and grow existing relationships with customers with relatively low spend (example: $50K) and high account potential.  Transition account to Key Account Specialist after an identified threshold level of time/sales.  
  • Determine key objectives required to win and resource requirements/risks.
  • Leverage CRM to track activities and NOVO
  • Identify potential untapped markets.
  • Equal laser focus on customer and competition.
  • Drive E-Commerce applications 
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, programs.
  • Manage local market engagement by attending trade shows and customer events
  • Coordinate internally with technical experts and other Outside Sales reps to close new customer accounts
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales Rep(s) and Sales Support to win new business
  • Takes hand-off from Inside Sale Reps when accounts grow to established threshold.

Preferred area of education, certification


  • Degree in Business and or Manufacturing and or Engineering.  3-5 years experience in sales/marketing/industrial sales preferred. CMP Program certificate preferred. (Certified Metal Cutting Professional).   Entrepreneurial. Creative. Analytic. Assertive. Articulate. Competitive.
