Manufacturing Operator Lead - Furnace $2000 Sign-On Bonus!

1st Shift or 3rd Shift 


Job Summary 

Acting in the role as a Lead – Responsible for completion of manual tasks requiring knowledge of processes, products and customer requirements.  In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position provides guidance to other team members through effective communications and positive leadership as requested by the supervisor.  May be considered a SME with the ability to provide support with process questions and troubleshooting.

Key Job Responsibilities

· Must have good Interpersonal and communication skills and basic leadership capabilities with the ability to provide guidance to others through effective communication and training skills.

· Working in a team environment safely, operating complex production equipment, manufacturing and packaging of various products.  

· Work from and read blueprints as well as setting and checking work to various quality control gages.

· Sets up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials.

· Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.

· Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.  

· Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments

· Perform inspection of machined products by selecting and setting up precision gaging to ensure external and internal quality specifications and requirements

· Adhere to and follow all company safety policies and procedures to assure commitment to 100% safe work environment.

· Support the Lean Enterprise initiatives and continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction through improved quality, reduction in waste and improved productivity.


· Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

· Spends a majority of working time performing the same work processes and activities as employees on team

· Performs a variety of complex tasks and/or may lead a team in the performance of a variety of tasks that are often routine.

· Solves complex problems of a recurring nature.

· Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.

Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates

Level of Education: High School  

Years of Relevant Work Experience Required: 3‐5 Years

Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills: 4 years of experience in manufacturing environment
