Job Title: Maintenance Technician
2nd shift: (M-F) 2pm - 10pm
Job Summary:
This position works under the supervision of the Supervisor, Maintenance. Duties are performed without constant supervision. Assignments are made and results are reviewed daily.
General duties:
- Train, plan, direct, schedule, and check the work in the Maintenance Department daily.
- Work with engineering, management, maintenance supervisor, vendors, maintenance personnel, and operators to review and solve problems.
- Monitor maintenance work orders and parts orders to continually improve operations of the maintenance department and in particular, the Maintenance Management System.
- Maintain complete and accurate records.
- Work with Maintenance Management and Maintenance Department Personnel to continuously improve the Maintenance Department effectiveness.
- Perform all other duties of Machine Maintenance Technician, i.e., electrical/electronics, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics when required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience.
- The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Computer experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Leadership skills, training and/or experience.
- A forklift operator’s license.

Education or Equivalent:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two years post-secondary vo-tech or trade school education in industrial electricity and/or mechanics is preferred.
