Maintenance Tech I 
2nd shift- train on 1st

Core Responsibilities

  • § Repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment varying in magnitude from minor to complex, utilizing electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance problem solving skills.
  • § Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical devices, machines, motors, motor starters, transformers and circuits.
  • § Perform safety inspections required for individual machines and associated equipment.
  • § Responsible to continually evaluate facility equipment for safe operation and compliance.
  • § Must be knowledgeable of environmental, health and safety laws & regulations.
  • § Coordinate preventive maintenance and projects with production requirements to maintain maximum equipment uptime and quality of product.
  • § Order parts and materials required for maintenance repairs and projects.
  • § Perform daily required 5S activities for work area
  • § Perform daily activities associated with gathering and posting established metrics
  • § Accurate and timely recording or required data (i.e. Production, quality etc)


Qualification and Experience

  • § High school diploma or general equivalency diploma and/or minimum of two (2) years post-secondary vo-tech or trade school education in industrial electricity and/or mechanics
  • § Minimum of one to two (2 preferred ) years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • § Introductory Project management experience.
  • § Good written and oral communication skills.
  • § Skills in Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • § PLC experience preferred
  • § Experience in 480-volt electrical power distribution systems 3 phase preferred
  • § Forklift experience preferred
  • § Intermediate mechanical skills
  • § Prefer PLC trouble shooting and programming – PLC=Programmable Logic Controller highly preferred
