Operator Mill

Mill Room Operator 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observe all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE. Report all safety incidents, unsafe acts, and conditions.
  • Weigh-grade powder.
  • Load and unload mills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Personal Protective Equipment, scales, forklift, chain hoist, pallet jack, steam cleaner, and a floor cleaner

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Must be able to read and write
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Record-keeping skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment 

 

Physical Requirments:

  • Must be able to climb 4 ft. ladder
  • Must be able to use both hands at the same time while pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, stopping, and walking
  • Must be able to work for long periods, while standing 
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination with all physical movements well-coordinated 

 

Job Conditions  & Hazards:

  • Moderate Dust
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25kgs
  • Potential strains, pinch points, and lacerations.

 

Education Guidelines:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write, perform basic math (addition, subtractions, multiply, and divide)

 

Experience Guidelines:

  • Prefer at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
