Job Summary  

Satisfy customer needs to create new sales revenue and retain existing revenue of metal cutting tools within assigned accounts and at acceptable profit margins.  Accounts can be directly served or indirect through distributor partners.  Must provide value-added metal cutting application solutions and services in the field. Meet financial objectives.  Effectively forecast business expectations.  Follow the Kennametal Inc. Ethical Code of Conduct.


Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Ensure implementation of the WIDIA SHINKI Vietnam (WSV) business strategy in a way that is consistent and complimentary with the team, department, and segment goals to achieve customer satisfaction, sales targets, and planned profits.
  • Increase profitable sales and win market share in metal cutting market through providing value added technical solutions and engineering services.
  • Meet the sales quota.
  • Accurately manage and report opportunity/pipeline data in as required and in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Work closely with internal application engineers, program engineers, and tool designers to meet customer needs with technical tool solutions.
  • Gain customer acceptance by explaining and demonstrating cost reduction and operational improvements.
  • Develop the appropriate sales strategy to meet and exceed sales and profit objectives.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations, prices, contracts, programs, and other agreements.
  • Understand market needs and communicate recommended marketing activities including publications, trade shows, training programs, customer events.
  • Proactively collect competitive activities and communicate this information up the management chain.
  • Manage customer satisfaction through effective cooperation with technical teams, customer service teams, product management teams, and manufacturing.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts reports with reasonable accuracy.
  • Follow all defined processes.
  • Communicate effectively in English language with manager and within the entire organization.
  • Support a safe and healthy work environment.  Follow rules, policies, and practices of environmental, health and safety.  Keep one’s self safe and guard the safety of team members and colleagues.

Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with major in mechanical engineering or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experiences of driving key account sales in metal cutting tools or related industries
  • Knowledge of metal cutting tools is highly preferred to offer technical application support and solutions to customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, outgoing self-starter and passionate about sales
  • Good communications skills in English
