Job Title: Chemical Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL

Job Description/Duties:

This position will be responsible for the research, design, and development of new production processes Additionally, the optimization of current processes through data collection, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.  Also, responsible for leading process improvement teams made up of shop floor personnel, maintenance technicians, and engineers to drive process throughput and safety optimization and improvement. The Chemical Process Engineer will prepare detailed P&ID drawings, process flow diagrams, and work instructions for new and existing processes. Lastly, most work tasks will take place on the shop floor.

Education and Work Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment
• Extensive knowledge of metallurgical processes:  calcination, crystallization, purification, extraction, bluing, reduction, carburization.
• Ability to work and lead others to work 100% safe
• Ability and desire to work in a heavy industrial environment
