Key Account Specialist - Metal Cutting Tools

Location -  Western Massachusetts 

 

Summary

Drive sales growth with established customers by managing customer relationship, providing technical direction, and increasing productivity for our metal cutting customers

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

o             Manage 1-10 established customer relationships.

o             Maintain existing business and grow share of wallet with assigned customer accounts within assigned geography.

o             Takes hand-off from Sales Engineer (hunter) when account reaches certain level of sales volume.

o             Leverage CRM to track activities and NOVO.

o             Determine key objectives required to win and resource requirements/risks.

o             Drive E-Commerce applications.

o             Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge on a particular end-market and stay up to date on latest industry trends to    continually improve customer productivity.

o             Provide technical expertise on products (e.g., product lifecycle obsolescence), customer programs (e.g., product upgrades) and customer cost savings initiatives.

o             Maintains intense market knowledge of competitors and market gaps.

o             Support Sales Engineers by providing technical expertise when closing new customers.

o             Coordinate with Inside Sales rep(s) and Sales Support to grow sales within assigned accounts plus troubleshoot customer gaps as needed.

 

 

Education

Degree in Business and or Manufacturing and or Engineering preferred.

5-10 years of related experience preferred either in sales or use of macine tools. CMP Program certificate preferred. (Certified Metal cutting Professional).
