Product Manager Marketing

 

Job Summary and Mission

Responsible to drive tactical marketing initiatives for a region or sub region or segment in a region resulting in growth goals for segments and product lines, closely tied to sales and technical engineering.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

•Execute key tasks and projects of a complex nature

•Perform analysis of a complex nature and develop recommendations in support of achieving business objectives

•Prepare progress, status and forecast reports on multiple key aspects of the assigned area of responsibility

•May oversee work of Technical/Professional or Admin/Support type roles

 

Key Position Accountabilities

1. Make the growth goals for the region for Segment and product lines

2. Drive 5% increase in customer satisfaction including sales

3. Timely completion of Tactical initiatives

4. Continuous improvement in product or engineering or application specialties

 

Knowledge & Skills

• In depth professional knowledge and expertise of a specialized field or multiple disciplines.

Financial/Business Accountability

• Primary accountability for the performance of: Function within a business unit and/or own work.

 

Strategy

• Primary responsibility for carrying out all, or portions of, the execution plan relating to specific area of accountability.

• Provides input into creation of execution plan and updates to plan based on changes in strategic direction.

 

Leveraging Resources

• On a day-to-day basis, leverages resources within area of accountability to execute plan.

• May leverage resources in cross-functional areas in order to execute most efficiently.

 

Influence

• Influences employees within function to enable decision making.

• Influences assigned customers/suppliers to maximize objectives.

 

Decision Making

• Makes decisions in the context of a well-defined frame of reference form a higher authority or established precedents.
• Decisions are guided by set policies and procedures, business plan, resource availability and functional objectives.

• Has responsibility for making decisions and managing risks that would have little or no impact on the assets of the Company.

• Provides input on decision making within area of accountability.

 

Typical Education or Equivalent Work Experience

• 4-year secondary degree, plus advanced degree preferred.

• 3 - 5 years in discipline.
