Job Title - Sales Engineer AMS Group

Remote Location:  Home Office - Preferred location Houston, TX, but flexible anywhere Eastern or Southern US. 

 

Job Description:

 

This sales role provides the ability to see opportunity in challenges and creates solutions that provide a positive impact for our customers.  The candidate will need to possess the ability to gain the trust and respect of customers by not only establishing the relationship, but by listening to their challenges and following through on commitments in a timely manner.  Uses obtained customer information to become a solution-provider and partner.

·     

  • Field sales position focusing on in-depth customer engagement.
  • Identifying specific opportunities for Kennametal’s Stellite wire, rod, and powder portfolio of welding/hard-facing products, including HVOF and PTA equipment.   
  • Territory management to promote business segment growth to new and existing customers.
  • Collaboration across multiple business segments.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish relationships with new and existing Kennametal customers to provide solutions.
  • Understand customer needs, business, technology, and product requirements and appropriately match Kennametal “welding consumable wear solutions” – products and services – to meet customer needs.
  • Meets sales goals of growth and profitability, through maintaining relations with high impact customers and current customer base as well as by identifying and qualifying new customer opportunities and needs.
  • Develop and maintain customer associated data to provide consultative partnership Proficiency in assessing customer needs.
  • Execute growth initiative projects within market segment.
  • In-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry and concepts associated with Kennametal Products.
  • Proficiency in assessing customer needs.
  • Competent understanding and communication of all products and technical information. 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Perform sales forecasting, account planning and other related sales administrative tasks to grow assigned business profitably.
  • Travel 50% - 70%

 

 

Education and Work Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, marketing, engineering, or technical degree. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum requirement five-seven plus years of successful sales experience in the industry.
