Job Summary

 

The Sales Support Coordinator will closely collaborate with the sales teams in an assigned geographic area to proactively close sales transactions that may be delayed due to unforeseen issues or incomplete communication gaps. This position resolves complex road-blocks and builds customer relationships with external and internal customers.  A liaison between sales, Mfg., Product Mgt., Inside Sales, etc.  Will support medium to large accounts by close collaboration with outside sales.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Support sales in finalizing quotes, validating order quantities and finalizing pricing by working with internal groups (pricing, product mgt., mfg).

 

Proactively monitor inventory levels for open orders by producing and analyzing SAP reporting results and acting upon those results;  Authority to request expedites based on production schedule.  Monitor scheduling agreements, contracts and confirm manufacturing/production orders to ensure no roadblock for the sale.  Removes roadblocks by advising supply chain on inventory shortages so that product arrives on time.  Communicate directly with the customer with order tracking updates.

 

Proactively track and manage priority account expedites by analyzing SAP reporting and communicating with Supply Chain or Manufacturing as needed to remove any roadblocks and allow sale/invoicing to be completed.

 

Proactively analyzes product life-cycle data and alerts/coordinates with sales reps, internal technical resources, and customers to determine recommended replacement options.

 

Proactively follow up on “Project Quotes” (Project quotes are tooling packages for new machines).  Coordinate with sales & engineering to ensure quotes are executed in a timely manner to allow quicker sale.

 

Support sales on quote validation & finalizations, costing validation on specials, invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, contract/compliance forms by working with internal resources: Pricing, Product groups, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and finance.

 

Coordinate with Outside Sales reps and product groups to complete reporting on customer cost savings initiatives and product performance reports.

 

Support Outside Sales reps in coordinating with internal subject matter experts (e.g. product experts) to attend customer sales pitches.  Attend customer meetings in some cases.

 

Complete forms such as contract and compliance as well as independent CCIR forms (customer inquires).

 

Maintaining customer contacts -keeping up communication and rapport with customer and understanding who to contact.

 

Support Inside and Outside Sales with Accounts Receivable collection and resolution of invoicing discrepancies.

 

Preferred Areas of education, Certifications, and Skills

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Manufacturing, Communication, Engineering preferred.  Excellent Customer Service focus and ability to remain productive under pressure. 

 

-Proficiency in standard MS Office applications is required.  Proficient Excel knowledge required.

-Deep knowledge of SAP-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and/or customer relationship management (CRM) tools is required.

- Must have experience with analytical software and database query applications

- Must possess good communication skills and the ability to manage time appropriately.

- Experience working in a sales support capacity is desired.
