Sr. Supply Chain Planner

Location: Onsite in Latrobe, PA or Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Generate and optimize statistical forecast and ensure alignment with the consensus demand plan with key stakeholders (marketing, sales)
• Optimize and develop production plan to ensure customer service level is maintained at each manufacturing location based on the consensus forecast
• Manage the supply and demand balance for a set number of Americas plants using the S&OP process
• Work with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve key issues and imbalances. Topics may include production capacity, logistics, equipment, forecast deviations, raw materials supply issues, etc
• Align demand forecast (vs business plan, revised forecast plan, and actual sales) relative to the critical materials inventory and production capabilities.
• Prepare monthly SIOP meeting materials using cross-functional input and facilitate the meetings
• Generate inventory projections and other KPIs and reports for S&OP purposes
• The primary point of contact for day-to-day decision making and resolution of issues relating to supply and inventory for specific plant products
• Lead cross-functional projects and convene cross-functional meetings to resolve issues
• Partner with other stakeholders to create and implement best practices
• Establish, manage, and track supply and demand metrics
• Escalate business-critical decisions to management
• Work with cross-functional team to find alternative supply sources if unable to get the product from primary source
• Work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure inventory planning is optimal and prevent excess and obsolete inventory where possible
• Generate and analyze analytics to ensure customer service is at an optimal level and develop what-if scenarios when needed

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply management, logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of supply chain experience
• Prior experience planning in multiple manufacturing sites
• Experience in production planning and demand planning
• Prior experience interacting with production, marketing, and sales
• General knowledge of Operations / Manufacturing process
• SAP Production Planning and Kinaxis Rapid Response experience highly desirable
• Strong PC experience, Microsoft Office Suite experience required including Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
• APICs certification is a plus
• Must have strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, who also can work independently and is self-motivated
