Job Summary 

 

Provides support in the design & implementation of various components of Kennametal’s Total Rewards programs including process implementation and administration support for programs including, but not limited to, base compensation; variable compensation; executive compensation; and benefits in Kennametal’s quest to offer market competitive compensation that aligns to our true pay for performance culture to recruit, retain, and motivate our team members to achieve success

 

Key Job Responsibilities 

 

  • Assists with stock plan administration, including but not limited to stock grants and distribution approvals and review, monthly reporting, and corporate and participant maintenance. Supports internal legal team with SEC reporting requirement.
  • Works with external stock plan vendor to ensure smooth stock plan related activities, such as file feed accuracy, tax, and personal information for participants. Acts as a liaison between participants and external vendor.
  • Provide professional level analytics to assess and report for assigned programs.
  • Works with Finance to provide up to date financial accruals for specified compensation programs.
  • Provide support in the administration of benefit programs covering health & welfare benefits, including medical, life, disability, accident, retirement, etc. paying special attention to country specific market and business needs within the overall total rewards philosophy and strategy.
  • Compile, analyze, and report benefit data including employee, benefit plan and financial data for strategic planning and evaluation, best practices, and benchmark surveys
  • Works with external vendors to successfully complete and submit compensation and benefit surveys.
  • Partners with the Total Rewards team, HRSSC team, HRBPS, and the business customers to define processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and provide reference/resources to employees/managers.
  • Works independently with moderate guidance and acts as a compensation and benefits resource to solve complex and/or new challenges facing the business in this regard.
  • Administers compensation programs such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, salary surveys and also may include the following areas of compensation: executive, international, sales and other specialized areas of compensation.  May also provide support in the development and implementation of various compensation programs

 

Education, Work Experience

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business 
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
