Install, maintain, modify, repair, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment.

Safety: Perform pre-operation checks for both individual machines and work areas. Perform safety inspections required for individual machines and associated equipment. Work in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures. NOTE: Maintains hazardous waste satellite accumulation area and transfers hazardous waste to satellite accumulation containers.

Production:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment and facility varying in magnitude from minor to complex, utilizing electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and general maintenance problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible for analyzing and developing an action plan for emergency repairs with no supervision
  • Primary contact (24hrs/7 days) for facility emergencies involving utility, fire, environmental, health, and weather issues

Quality: Coordinate preventive maintenance and projects with production requirements to maintain maximum equipment uptime and quality of the product.

Delivery: Plan and prioritize equipment repairs. Responsible for project management of equipment installations and relocations to meet established due dates

Cost: Evaluate and prepare cost analysis for new equipment installations, repairs, layouts & modifications for efficient material flow and operator safety

Inventory: Order parts and materials required for maintenance repairs and projects.

Train: Train other maintenance personnel and equipment operators.

Lean: Participate in lean events and utilize lean processes in daily duties

TPM: Perform daily required TPM on equipment

5S: Perform daily required 5S activities for the work area

Metrics: Perform daily activities associated with gathering and posting established metrics

Data: Accurate and timely recording of required data (i.e. Production, quality, etc

This position requires:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma and a minimum of two (2) years post-secondary vo-tech or trade school education in industrial electricity and/or mechanics preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Good written, oral communication, and computer skills
  • Skills in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, machine controls, programming, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, PLC, and process controls
  • Experience in 480-volt electrical power distribution systems
  • National Electric Code experience
  • Welding experience (Arc, Mig, and Gas)
  • Forklift operator license
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required
