Job Title:  Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Location:  New Market, VA


Job Responsibilities:



Providing a safe, clean work environment by maintaining good safety practices, inspecting the workplace, promoting good housekeeping practices, and thorough investigation of all accidents with appropriate corrective action.


Meeting production schedules provided by shop floor control system and pre-production support through providing adequate manpower levels of properly trained personnel, and controlling workflow, manpower assignments, and overtime.


Maintain high and uniform product quality through employee training, development, and implementation of inspection procedures as well as controls and analysis of scrap and rework reports for improvement opportunities.


Develop and maintains an atmosphere of mutual trust, respect, and positive employee relations through open and frequent communications.


Train and develop highly skilled manufacturing personnel through performance evaluation and coaching for improvement providing technical instruction and encouraging participation in company-sponsored training programs as well as formal educational opportunities.


Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering/management discipline with 1 - 3 years manufacturing supervisory experience, OR


Associate’s Degree in an engineering/management discipline with 3 – 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience, OR 


5+ years successful supervisory experience in lieu of formal education in areas of machining, grinding, heat treat and quality control


Good written/oral communication skills


Team building and conflict resolution skills.
