Customer Service Representative

 

 

Kennametal in Newport is currently recruiting a Customer Service Representative. The purpose of the role is to undertake all sales office administrative functions and maintain effective communications with the sales team, customers other Kennametal sites and agents.

 

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Receipt and processing of all sales orders
  • Shipping and invoicing all orders, ensuring that the correct documentation is in place
  • Liaising with customers, agents, and production departments to ensure that all orders are shipped to the agreed production schedule and ensuring that all parties are kept informed in cases where schedules are changed
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork and electronic files of all orders and deliveries including freight costs, ensuring each delivery can be traced back to the original order
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork and electronic files of all imports
  • Maintaining customer files and records
  • Preparing customer quotations together with the relevant member of the sales team
  • General reception duties

 

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in an office environment in a customer facing role
  • Experience of order processing
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of export procedures, shipping and transport documentation preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Analytical, with good problem-solving skills
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Numerate
  • Highly organised and process driven
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Driving licence

 

Hours of Work and Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week, worked on a flexible basis
