CNC Machinist opening:

A great opportunity has opened in our factory Newport for a CNC Machinist for the manufacturing of components to company or customer specification using manual and CNC machining equipment.

The role includes:

• Setup and operate manual and CNC machine tools in order to produce precision components.
• Inspection of machined components to engineering drawings, to ensure that the required specification is met.
• Chemical based cleaning of machined parts.
• Product packing and despatch to the customer.

Key responsibilities:

• Comply with all company Health and Safety policies and requirements.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
• Safe handling of chemicals through COSHH awareness.
• Complying with company quality procedures to ensure a supply of high-quality product consistently meets customer needs.

Required skills:

• Must have previous experience as CNC machining (Milling).
• Familiar with Heidenhain CNC control
• Must have experience using Microsoft Outlook (Word & Excel advantageous).

Desired skills:

• COSHH trained.
• Knowledge of CAM/CAD.
