Warehouse operator

An opportunity has opened for a Warehouse Operator in out factory at Newport.

Main purpose of the role is to control and co-ordinate the receipt and despatch of all goods into the factory while complying with the company’s health and safety standards.

• Key tasks include:
  • Unload, book in, record all items that are delivered
  • Maintain traceability of goods received through computer and paper-based procedures
  • Store all goods received in an organised fashion for easy accessibility
  • Identify and investigate possible improvements to the overall stock control process
  • Packing goods for dispatch
  • Stock rotation
  • Order goods and materials.
  • Communicate with customers.
  • Provide a good quality service to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within and around the stores area
  • Ensure that personnel observe the Health & Safety regulations that are applied to the workplace

Essential skills:

 •             A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role

•              Forklift truck license

•              Experience with MRP stock control systems
