Global HR Project Manager

Job Summary:

  • Manages global cross-functional, and/or enterprise-wide projects within Human Resources Shared Services
  • Ensuring successful program/project planning and delivery to meet business/customer expectations.  
  • Ensures that related business and organizational goals are achieved.
  • The HR Project Manager will manage reporting and communications on all projects and requires in depth knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. 
  • May assist other members of the team with problems as appropriate.
  • Oversees a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Attends calls, meetings, and works with all departments, and external collaborators to clarify and document functional requirements for projects.

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities in a project life cycle (initiation, planning, executing, and control/close), ensuring compliance, management of project resources as well as providing status updates and escalations as needed to key stakeholders within the HR.   This includes needs identification; resource requirements; project dependencies, planning and progression; financial management; status reporting; copious and effective communications; ongoing risk assessment and adaptation; and appropriate escalation strategies and implementation.
  • Consult with regional HRSS teams and HR business partners if required to clarify and define program/project approach, scope, budget and timeline; escalating as necessary
  • Participates as a member of larger effort(s) to independently manage sub-program component(s) under the purview of Global HR Shared Services Leader.
  • Successfully informs and influences sponsors and key stakeholders to promote success of project prioritization, HRSS Leaders through times of ambiguity, and obstacle management and adapts planning, communications, and engagements accordingly.
  • Incorporates multi-business and enterprise support via operations organizational/ systems knowledge and navigation to anticipate change impacts.
  • Ensures full understanding of project impacts then translates that into comprehensive engagement strategies.
  • Incorporates regular and appropriate consultation with HRSS leadership, sponsors, business and other stakeholders to validate project trajectory and project performance feedback.
  • Works with HRIS on various HR Operations projects and partners to provide comprehensive services through system and process solutions.
  • Manages HR process audits to ensures that risk controls are met.

Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills:

  • B.S. in Business or related field
  • Excellent project management experience throughout the full project life cycle
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing for communication across entire organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
  • Successful track record in the deployment of global HR business processes or programs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or technologies needed to support responsibilities
  • Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
