Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition

The Senior Manager of Global Talent Acquisition will lead Kennametal’s Talent Acquisition strategy. This position will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Talent Acquisition organization, including partnership with HR Shared Services, to oversee an outsourced recruitment organization with contingent recruiting professionals, globally. Serves as overall program manager for pipeline and rotational development programs.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide strong leadership to meet the business needs; provide leadership and direction to the company’s co-sourced vendor-partner
  • Provide global thought leadership in staffing management, workforce strategy and planning, and strategic talent planning, while considering regional differences, through partnerships with the business and HR colleagues
  • Develop and implement global methodologies and processes to ensure an exceptional candidate and manager experience
  • Identify and implement globally-applicable assessment methodologies to evaluate the right candidate skillsets in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Develop university and intern recruiting/pipeline programs
  • Develop strategy around, and lead efforts for, diversity recruiting
  • Oversee KMT rotational program, interns and other pipeline candidates, working closely with the business
  • Oversee relevant staffing and recruiting tools, technology and methodologies
  • Design and develop effective onboarding and assimilation experiences that have a global framework and that also support regional differences
  • Strengthen the company’s employer brand with prospective team members, leveraging outlets such as social media and recruiting networks to do so
  • Establish systems of accountability, performance standards, and measures of success against which the company’s external partner and internal support structure can adhere, and against which the effectiveness of the function can be evaluated
  • Build strong partnerships with the HR team, Finance and executive management to develop and monitor workforce plans, budgets and hiring forecasts in order to deliver the right talent when and where it’s needed

 

Education & Work Experience

 

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field along with 10 to 15 years  (or more) work experience in Talent Acquisition. The scope of this role is global, so international Talent Acquisition experience would be helpful. Global travel may be required (total domestic and international travel from 20% - 50%).
