An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as a Digital Marketing Analyst. The successful candidate will focus on conversion rate optimization for global digital programs and campaigns for Kennametal Inc. They will also develop and manage the digital roadmap to enable our digital channels to incrementally improve conversion rates on our website that eventually lead to a transformation of the business.


Working with our Global Digital Marketing Lead, as well as market portfolio managers, this role will lead digital efforts around strategic planning of testing scenarios and targeting of key segments to obtain the highest conversion in lead generation possible. These findings will help drive out the creation of product position pages, email campaigns, media banners and social reach. The successful candidate will insist on centering all efforts around the highest standards of user experience for key influencers in markets we serve.


We are seeking a candidate with a highly organized and programmatic approach, comfortable managing multiple projects using Agile methodologies, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong desire to be tactical as well as strategic and forward thinking. The successful candidate will possess a wide depth of understanding in the digital marketing space but strong in conversion rate optimization. Must be creative in problem solving while still being logical in execution.




  • Benchmark, report and identify opportunities in optimization for conversion in site content and integrated campaigns.
  • Create and maintain lists of a/b tests.
  • Report out on lifetime value of campaigns/programs and key content.
  • Maintain dashboard of CRO “wins” to inform future campaigns/programs.
  • Drive results through qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to manipulate data to create actionable insights.
  • Basic HTML/CSS writing.
  • Facilitate tagging of key metrics and events with developers and analytics teams.


Typical Education and work experience


  • Associates degree in editing, marketing or related field, bachelors preferred.
  • SEO, SEM, information architecture, personalization/segmentation, web analytics, A/B testing.
  • Strong ability to analyse and optimize.
  • Strong knowledge of UX design and copywriting skills
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Adobe Marketing Cloud (Target, Analytics and Experience Manager).
  • CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Click Dimensions eMail marketing and automation (or similar).
  • Google AdWords management.
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch App.
  • Must have an excellent command of the English language.
  • Proficiency with MS Office in Word and Excel.
