Remote Metalcutting Technical Support

 

Together with a small international team of 5 experts you will provide metal cutting application support in Polish and Russian language via phone (mainly Polish), email (Polish and Russian) and online chat with Distributors, Endusers, Customer Service and the Sales representatives of all Kennametal metalworking market channels.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports our customers remotely in solving metalcutting application issues.
  • Helps them to select the right product for their machining task. Provides cutting data and application recommendations based on described tasks or workpiece drawings. Can explain why this suggested solution fits best and where the limits could be.
  • Develops solutions for process optimization 
  • Converts competitor tooling to Kennametal products. Converts old products to actual product lines.
  • Communicates the disposition of client problems and solutions to appropriate sales and Customer Fulfillment team members.
  • Works with other Application Support Analysts in the development of training programs.
  • Reviews technical trainings and catalogue literature if required.

 

Your Skills:

  • A Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering; completed machinist or tool & die apprentice program or other relevant engineering degree is preferred; however, a suitable combination of training and educational programs is acceptable.
  • At least 2 years metalworking experience
  • Strong telephone communication skills are required.
  • Languages – Polish fluent, English upper-intermediate, desire languages Russian or German
  •  Strong PC skills (MS Office) as well as knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to function as a “problem owner” for the majority of day-to-day application and product problems. Ability to initiate and track problem assignments to technical engineering and marketing resources, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to initiate escalation as appropriate.
