Data Engineer
Specialty in data integration within ecommerce
You will be part of a team dedicated to our digital customer experience and digital transformation. This role will be key to drive a culture of data and analytics driven business decision-making. To fulfil this vision, we are building capabilities to deliver improved cross-functional insights to help make faster and better decisions to ultimately win in the marketplace. As the Data Engineer, you will work closely with the product owners, consultants, and solution architects from internal / partner organizations to ensure our data driven principle is lived and breathed in every proposition that we deliver and ultimately support our digital data program – driving and supporting a great customer experience through our digital channels. It will be the responsibility of this role to drive and develop the data roadmap and ensure proposed solutions align to the roadmap and best practices.
We offer a 100% remote contract in Spain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with business and technical stakeholders to understand and capture business problems and identify data opportunities
- Contributing to the development of the data strategy and roadmap
- Produce and develop integrated end-to-end data solutions
- Complete assessments to ensure compliance with data protection legislation (ie. GDPR)
- Advising and supporting on all aspects of data governance
- Documenting and presenting architecture, models, diagrams to development teams, architecture review board, and technical leadership
- Perform project level design, debug and performance analysis
- Educates and influences business / customers on the most effective use of technology
- Responsible for the development and production support of data integration, automation, and defining pipeline for data integrations
- Work with vendors and product management areas to establish required infrastructures and frameworks.
- Explore and researching new technologies
Must Have Experience / knowledge in:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in database development, integration and administration
- Experience partnering with stakeholders to understand and capture business problems and identify data solutions
- Experience with relational and non-relational database
- Specifically MS SQL Server preferred
- Experience with cloud integrations for pulling pushing data from SaaS products
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies
- Strong experience in data modelling
- Good understanding of data governance and data compliance (GDPR)
- Strong experience in utilizing ETL tools
- Specifically Azure Data Factory and SSIS preferred
- Knowledge of other Data and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau
Additional Experience / knowledge optional:
- Facilitate AI discussions and solutions and Data Monetization
- Experience / knowledge of Product Information Management Tools (PIM)
- Experience with SAP
