Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Manager
Location: Rogers, AR

Job Summary and Mission
Manages a work area, in a manufacturing or assembly function with the intent of achieving defined goals such as daily and monthly output schedules, quality levels,
etc. Supervises work force directly or through the use of work leads/area supervisors. Develops production improvement and recovery plans in case goals are missed.
Develops plans to instill improvements in productivity and efficiency and is responsible for safety. Ensures workforce is properly trained. 


Key Job Responsibilities
•    Manage day-to-day responsibilities of multiple cost centers & product groups.
•    Develop tactical plans to achieve business results and provide feedback and input on strategy
•    Monitor processes and provide reports on progress and achievement of business objectives
•    Optimize resources allocation and utilization
•    Lead the Safety Leadership Committee and develop the site Safety Flight Plan, and monitor progress and clear any organizational barriers that may prevent achieving goal of 100% Safe.
•    Establish and enforce safety environment with clear roles and responsibilities, and regularly monitor performance using Safety Reviews.  
•    Responsible for overall production goal attainment to defined metrics for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
•    Manages team for overall performance including training, planning, scheduling, staffing, discipline through policy administration, and meeting production goals.  
•    Responsible for eliminating waste and non-value added activities through use of LEAN processes.

Key Position Accountabilities

1 Identify and monitor performance indicators that measure how well the area level objectives are
supporting the plant / basic strategies.
2 Establish, maintain and communicate production, manpower, quality and expenditure as the basis
for all plant level objectives
3 Manage the AOP, or, one-year operating budget for operations, or areas, of responsibility
4 Builds a performance-driven culture through PPM, succession planning, execution of reward
systems, and talent development    


Knowledge & Skills 
• In depth professional knowledge and expertise of a specialized field or multiple disciplines.
• Managers have basic managerial skills such as performance management, employment practices, team-building in overseeing support staff


Financial/Business Accountability
• Primary accountability for the performance of: Function within a business unit and/or own work.
• Contributory to department's financial goals as defined in work tasks.
• Limited cost exposure impact on functional performance


• Primary responsibility for carrying out all, or portions of, the execution plan relating to specific area of accountability.
• Provides input into creation of execution plan and updates to plan based on changes in strategic direction.


Leveraging Resources
• Manages the deployment of resources within area of accountability.
 Managers typically responsible for managing established budget in area of responsibility
• Provides input into organizational design for area of accountability, primarily with a focus on short-term


• Influences employees within function to enable decision making
• Interaction is generally limited to co-workers in the department or function; interaction may be with other departments when job provides services to those. 


Decision Making
• Makes decisions in the context of a well-defined frame of reference form a higher authority or established precedents.


Typical Education or Equivalent Work Experience
• 4-year secondary degree, plus advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years management
• 8+ years in discipline.
• Automation knowledge or experience in a modern manufacturing environment
