Responsibilities

• Kennametal Sintec is looking for an exceptional talent to join our technology team in Shanghai, as we continue to provide innovative products to better serve our customers and advance our organization. Kennametal Sintec has a full capability to manufacture boron nitride related ceramic products from powder, composites, to components. This position will sit in technology department, work closely with manufacturing, commercial teams, undertake projects that progress Kennametal technologies. Its mission is to identify, incubate and pilot emerging opportunities, or execute projects and actions leading to the capture of new materials, new products, new processes.
• The person in this position will be responsible for executing individual R&D projects; develop and manage existing and future technologies; integration of technology-based systems to improve products and processes; drive cost & efficiency programs to reduce cost of products. 
• This person need to be capable of working well in a cross functional team where he or she will interface with other operating groups of within and outside Kennametal (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Internal/External customers, External research institutes etc.) globally; identify required resources internally, externally and across disciplines; develop project plans; keep projects on schedule, within budget, meeting the project objectives; direct or support the development of project deliverables and present those deliverables at project meetings; work with Intellectual Property department to secure confidential agreements and ensure new ideas are properly disclosed and patented or kept as trade secret.

Requirements:  

• Master/Bachelor in Materials or Chemistry with major in Ceramics, Inorganic Non-metallic, Powder Metallurgy with an experience in Organic Chemistry (陶瓷，无机非金属，粉末冶金专业就具备有机化学的经验) or Applied Chemistry, Organic Chemistry with an interest in Ceramic, Powder Metallurgy (应用化学，有机化学专业对陶瓷，粉末冶金有兴趣)，and a few years working experience. IMC boat (蒸发舟)，Thermal Management (导热胶) background will be preferred. 
• Excellent domain knowledge and solid hands-on experiences in organic material preparation/synthesis, organic material characterization.
• Good oral and written technical communications skills in Chinese and English, CET-4 or above.
