Job Title: Quality Technician Team Lead

Shift: 1st shift

Hours: (6:45am - 2:45pm) -- Daily and weekend overtime may be required

Location: Solon, Ohio




  • High school diploma required, Technical school certificate or Associates degree preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years manufacturing experience required. 
  • 2 years related Quality experience with knowledge of GD&T, SPC, CMM and inspection procedures preferred. 
  • Must have ability to read blueprints and understand oral and written communications and instructions
  • Working knowledge of lean strategies and manufacturing techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to use a personal computer and SAP or similar software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
  • Must be able to read and understand operating procedures. 
  • Must be able to do basic shop math.
  • Intermittent lifting of up to 25lb. during shift.



Under the direction of Quality Manager:

  • Assist with all aspects of production including but not limited to:
    • Directing employee assignments
    • Ensure materials and tools are available
    • Perform quality checks
    • Audit departments
  • Participate in team meetings including but not limited to: lean, TPM and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical instruction and act as a trainer
  • Coordinate special projects as needed
  • Conduct analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality
  • Perform first part, in process and/or final inspection of parts or assemblies
  • Perform data/statistical analysis for trends and complete problem-solving activities to determine reasons for non-conformance
  • Devise unusual gauging or measuring setups to check close dimensional and performance tolerances
  • Provide technical assistance to supervisors and operators on inspection techniques

  • Perform tasks in a quality manner to meet external and internal Customer specifications and requirements.
  • Perform in a flexible and cooperative manner toward team objectives and the goals of the company. 
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with those you come in contact within all matters. 
  • Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries and communications accurately and timely.
  • Maintain regular attendance and perform duties in a timely manner, arriving and departing for assignments and meetings as required.
  • Be aware of all standard procedures and practices associated with the position and work to maintain compliance.
