Requirements

 

  • High school diploma required, Technical school certificate or Associates degree preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years of manufacturing experience required. 
  • 2 years related Quality experience with knowledge of GD&T, SPC, CMM and inspection procedures preferred.  Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso programming experience a must
  • Must have ability to read blueprints and understand oral and written communications and instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
  • Must be able to read and understand operating procedures. 
  • Must be able to do basic shop math.
  • Intermittent lifting of up to 35 pounds during shift.

 

Tasks

 

Under the direction of Supervisor, Manufacturing:

 

  • Conduct analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality
  • Perform first part, in-process and/or final inspection of parts or assemblies
  • Perform data/statistical analysis for trends and complete problem-solving activities to determine reasons for non-conformance
  • Devise unusual gauging or measuring setups to check close dimensional and performance tolerances
  • Provide technical assistance to supervisors and operators on inspection techniques

  • Be aware of all standard procedures and practices associated with the position and work to maintain compliance.
